Met Gala 2021

OK OK. So the met gala 2021 just happened and all I can say is the melanin kings and queens aaatee my personal fav being Lupita one of our own! But she always delivers always understands the assignment. For the kings I would have to say I loved Frank Ocean's hair the color went so well with his skin and his whole outfit was pretty cool too. Lil Nas X also came through with all three of his looks and I loved the third one best even though I know most of y'all disagree.{comment your faves down below}. Rihanna always comes with her unique style along Mr.cap'n crunch lol😂 but everyone was talking about his look I don't think I can call it an outfit and the suit underneath was pretty basic look for me tbh. Some honorable mentions include Halle Bailey and Yara Shahidi were definitely second best they looked really pretty Zoe Kravits, Anok Yai ate to say the least, Normani, Iman and I have to mention Pete Davidson who is my all time crush😅😂.
I personally think Megan Thee Stallion was underdressed it seems like something to wear at the VMA's or something . I mean she looked good just not Met standard[says I who was seated in my pjs watching the arrivals lol].

Anyway, I think we missed a lot of queens this year who always deliver like Zendaya,  Nicki Minaj, BEYONCE, Harry Styles was also not there but y'know they have lives too so.

In all honesty I thing this year's Met was not as good as like a 2019 y'know but hopefully next year we shall be pleasantly surprised. Comment your views on this year's Met and remind me who I didn't put on my list I hope for the everything melanin ride because it is all this and more💛

Goethe-Institut's - The Jam

On the fourth of October, Goethe Institut set up a much needed end of the week event showcasing Kenyan talent through a concert curated by Tangaza magazine. The whole set up was meant to vibe and  be acquainted with three of our very own Kenyan talent.  The vibe was already set from beginning as the DJ, DJ Dauudi.O , welcomed people coming in with a good mix of songs that made the energy just right for future performances, y'know setting the mood😂. As did the MC's , Corrine Kahi and Ivix D.Kioi who were very engaging with the crowd in preparation for the upcoming performances and got everyone's spirit up and excited. There were also refreshments offered by Die Bar.ist.A which included some pretty good cocktails y'know, to start the weekend right😅 and capturing the whole event through his lens was Nairobi Phoet .  The first performance was by the lovely Njeri and her pianist Wacuka . She had very good crowd engagement encouraging sing alongs here and there which we...

The Perfect Hair Washday

Washing your hair can be a daunting task. That's why when you do it, you should make it count. Set aside a day when you do not have anything else to do and make a playlist of your favorite songs. You can also make it a full TLC day. Do a body scrub after to get that hair product off your body y'know. Ok, step 1  make sure you have all your hair products ready, these include shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and oil . Step 2 ,you can soften your hair with a conditioner(not deep conditioner) before you start to  wash your hair, this helps with hair softening before you start the shampooing process which can prove to be drying to your hair. While applying the conditioner, put your hair in twists while either finger detangling or combing it through with a paddle brush or a wide tooth comb. This will prevent tangles during the shampooing process which is  Step 3 . Before you apply shampoo to your hair make sure you completely drench your hair with wa...

True Crime Documentaries You Have To Watch

ID loversss gather here! First of if you know what that is you are definitely in the right place😂😂.  I would say I am an enthusiast of true crime, y'know a normal amount( if you know me personally don't comment😅) Mostly because of curiosity I would say, wanting to know why people do what they do, and so far I've come across very interesting documentaries that all my true crime counterparts should check out.  They have all the good components of a good documentary which I would list as good narration, interviews with family or people who knew the victims and if we are lucky, people who knew the perpetrator which it's always interesting to hear from their point of view. OK, enough yapping, onto the list! The Staircase ( Netflix ). Starting off strong with what I would consider to be my top 5 documentaries of all time. Murder or a tragic accident? I was quite surprised there was a discussion between the two after watching it. But I'll let you be the judge of that. ...
