Best Protective Styles For Length Retention.

As someone with textured hair, protective styles come in clutch for me😂 I meann, I do love my natural hair don't get me wrong, but a little break from it doesn't hurt once on a while😅. Plus protective styles are super cute and easily manageable so it's literally a win win lol.

 So, picking a good protective hairstyle can be a lot because there's such variety thankfully 😂. But a few key notes you should consider when picking out an appropriate protective style;

Your edges
Honestly at this point I'm not sure if I have a KSI forehead or my edges have been pushed all the way back😂😂(this is a serious issue btw🥲😂)
Just tell your hair stylist to leave your edges alone😭 ,trust me, I'm saving you from a seven head and a receding hairline😂

Tension
Too much pulling is very detrimental to your hair growth and hair care. If you see those little bumps forming on your scalp, just know that style is too tight .

Size
The size of a style also should be something to consider when putting a style in because if they are too tiny or too heavy, you should probably avoid those, if you're trying to maintain healthy hair.

Avoid rubber bands
Rubber bands tend to pull on your hair that causes breaking  or splitting of the hair so if you really really really have to, oil the rubber bands before putting them on your hair.

So, for the fun part 😂yeey. Remember, you can use braiding hair or your own natural hair for protective styles:)PS* go on Pinterest and type in the name of the hairstyle for inspo pictures

Passion twists are really cute and have that kind of messy look that I like because you can keep them over a long period.

Fulani Braids look good even on just natural hair and bring a sort of ethnic feel to your look and you can choose the size you want according to your preference.

Faux Locks that only get better the longer you keep them! A plus if you ask me😃.

Knotless Braids which are supper light and a slightly less painless process because the braid hair is added progressively to the hair.

Box Braids, a classic and a go to especially for beach vacations because they are easy to maintain.

Butterfly Locks are kind of like distressed faux locks with softer hair. Can have them in for a long period of time as well but be careful with the take out process so as not to cut your hair lovelies☺.

Senegalese Twists. One of my personal favorites but I do like all twist styles plus the braiding hair is not too bulky.

Cornrows. Very easy and has a variety of different ways to do them plus you don't have to stay at the hairstylist for too long so that's definitely a plus😂.

Remember to have fun w/it switch up the style, the size, the color 👀(yes I'm talking to you😂) because it's your hair, be fun and creative with it loves😙. Have a great rest of the week and don't forget to drink water😂💛.

A Heart Of Gold: Virginia Children's Home

Bluverse in partnership with TashaSasha Foundation organized an event to help the children of Virginia Children's Home through donations, visiting and spending time with the children. Founders of Bluverse and TashaSasha Foundation The Home is located in Utawala and from the minute I got there I could feel the warmth radiating from the children as members took part in cooking, braiding, hair cuts and playing with the children. The home houses roughly 20 children  and the mother of the children shared her journey of why and how she came about starting the home and it was truly inspirational and you could tell she cared and truly loves each and every one of the kids who range from a form four student to the youngest girl who is only four years old. the Mum who takes care of the children🤍 As the first Home I have visited, I was truly inspired with the existence of such pure hearts including the organizations that made this happen and their willingness to extend their love to comp...
