My Realistic 2024 Resolutions

Another yearr!! I hope your holidays are going great💛.2024,damn,
so soon?😂 But this new year means business, I mean it's starting on Monday, what else could that mean😂. So my 2024 resolutions are actually things I will and can accomplish this time not wishful thinking(there was a year when I wrote I wanted to have bought a car by the end of the year knowing damn well I didn't even have a job😭)But this year I am being realistic with it and not setting myself up for failure.

So, this is what I plan to accomplish next year;
  • Do all daily sudoku challenges. So that's 3 every day on this app I have on my laptop, this is just to exercise my brain and stuff because as we get older it's important to do that. Other people may prefer word searches or learning a new language, hey, to each their own.
  • Upload on everything melanin every week. Sundays to be specific, I had started that toward the end of the year and it was honestly felt very fulfilling even though sometimes I can feel a bit of pressure to do so. Plus I gained a lot more followers during that period so I'll make it a habit to post weekly.
  • Save some money. Y'know to buy that car I wanted to buy in a year😭😂. Saving actually makes you feel like you aren't really spending money because it's not coming out of your bank acc or mpesa if you catch my drift😅. Girl math, because it's already there y'know. And also it helps to save for certain goals you have like buying that new pair of sneakers or upgrading your closet or moving out or a planned trip. Stuff like that.
  • Wake up earlier. I feel like to put it better its to better my sleeping habits because sometimes I be going to bed at the crack of dawn like c'mon now😭. I feel like latest midnight is ideal.
  • Eat healthier. Drink warm water first thing in the morning, do more juice cleanses etc. I'll do more research on how to eat healthier and share on here.
  • Listen to new artists. Recommend some new artists I can listen to especially other African countries and such. I want to expand my musical palette y'know.
  • Take care of my hair better. I want my hair health to be as good as it was in 2020 when I was really looking after and it and it's proven to prevent damage hence length retention.
  • Read a book a month. Fiction mostly or those research type books not motivation, that's not my steez but if it is, read at least one every month. I need some delusion in my life y'know😂😂.
Yeah, so that's pretty much it plus some other personal ones. I am writing these on here for accountability and such by the end of next year because we all know how fast years are going by when we are grown ups. Let's see how good we do this year guys, let's try our best❤💛.

The Perfect Hair Washday

Washing your hair can be a daunting task. That's why when you do it, you should make it count. Set aside a day when you do not have anything else to do and make a playlist of your favorite songs. You can also make it a full TLC day. Do a body scrub after to get that hair product off your body y'know. Ok, step 1  make sure you have all your hair products ready, these include shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and oil . Step 2 ,you can soften your hair with a conditioner(not deep conditioner) before you start to  wash your hair, this helps with hair softening before you start the shampooing process which can prove to be drying to your hair. While applying the conditioner, put your hair in twists while either finger detangling or combing it through with a paddle brush or a wide tooth comb. This will prevent tangles during the shampooing process which is  Step 3 . Before you apply shampoo to your hair make sure you completely drench your hair with wa...

Tricks I Do That Help With Weightloss.

Hey, no one is telling you to lay off anything  ok😂. Relaaaaxx😂.I always say, the key to maintaining a healthy body weight is mostly internal. So let us look at some not so hard tricks I use that are applicable for your day to day that help at least maintain a healthy body weight.  💪🏿 Maintaining at least a 7,000 steps a day and this is very easy to achieve actually, that's approximately 30 minutes of walking, which can either be broken down to 2-15 minute walks or 3-10 minutes walks. Which is quite doable a day I would say. And good thing our phones can keep track of how many steps we've taken everyday so you don't have to worry about that, just the walking is your part. 💪🏿 Walking After Eating . I've found this quite effective because the body uses that food as fuel for your walk. Put on some music, a good playlist and walk for at least fifteen minutes. Plus it reduces any bloating risks significantly.  💪🏿 Drinking a Litre A Day.  Of water of course😅😂.Ge...

True Crime Documentaries You Have To Watch

ID loversss gather here! First of if you know what that is you are definitely in the right place😂😂.  I would say I am an enthusiast of true crime, y'know a normal amount( if you know me personally don't comment😅) Mostly because of curiosity I would say, wanting to know why people do what they do, and so far I've come across very interesting documentaries that all my true crime counterparts should check out.  They have all the good components of a good documentary which I would list as good narration, interviews with family or people who knew the victims and if we are lucky, people who knew the perpetrator which it's always interesting to hear from their point of view. OK, enough yapping, onto the list! The Staircase ( Netflix ). Starting off strong with what I would consider to be my top 5 documentaries of all time. Murder or a tragic accident? I was quite surprised there was a discussion between the two after watching it. But I'll let you be the judge of that. ...
