The Perfect Hair Washday

Washing your hair can be a daunting task. That's why when you do it, you should make it count. Set aside a day when you do not have anything else to do and make a playlist of your favorite songs. You can also make it a full TLC day. Do a body scrub after to get that hair product off your body y'know.

Ok, step 1 make sure you have all your hair products ready, these include shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and oil .

Step 2,you can soften your hair with a conditioner(not deep conditioner) before you start to wash your hair, this helps with hair softening before you start the shampooing process which can prove to be drying to your hair. While applying the conditioner, put your hair in twists while either finger detangling or combing it through with a paddle brush or a wide tooth comb. This will prevent tangles during the shampooing process which is

Step 3. Before you apply shampoo to your hair make sure you completely drench your hair with water when rinsing out the conditioner used earlier. This will enable your hair to be able to absorb the shampoo quickly so you don't have to use too much shampoo on your hair. The secret to shampooing is to only apply the shampoo to your scalp which is where you need to clear your pores for better hair growth. The shaft of the hair will be clean when rinsing out the shampoo and the shampoo goes along it.

How do you know your hair is clean? If there is a lot of foaming of the shampoo, that means your hair is clean. Make sure you choose a shampoo whose main ingredient is water so it does not strip your hair too much and make it too dry.

After your hair is clean, you can move onto step 4 which is deep conditioning your hair. In the twists that your hair is in, use each section to separately apply your deep conditioner to your hair shaft this time, concentrating on the ends which tend to be the driest part of the hair. You can detangle your hair during this step as well now the hair is softer and moisturized.

According to how long it is written on the instructions of your deep conditioner label, leave it in and you can enhance the benefits of the deep conditioner by using a heat cap then wash it off preferably with cold water which seals the hair cuticles and pores on the scalp. This makes the hair look shiny and reduce frizz.

Make sure to wash your face and body thoroughly before heading out the shower to remove any product that could've been left on your body. This prevents buildup that can cause pimples forming on your back or face so make sure you wash up.

The work isn't done after the shower, as step 5 includes sealing the moisture obtained after washing your hair. A good leave in conditioner will help further moisturize your hair. Apply your leave in conditioner on damp hair on the shaft only not the scalp again focusing on the ends.

The last step which is step 6 is to seal both the leave in conditioner and water with an oil or butter. Make sure your oil is pure with no added ingredients. You can either do a hot oil treatment or just the oil that you apply to both the hair and scalp. This will ensure your hair retains moisture until your next wash day :)

How many times you wash your hair depends on a number of things:
  • If you are going swimming you should wash your hair every time after leaving a pool.
  • If your hair is in a protective style, you can wash your hair after taking it out.
  • If you are rocking your natural hair, I would advise you to wash it at least twice a month.

Hopefully, this gives you a clear guide for washday so you can be as efficient as possible. Bluverse in partnership with TashaSasha Foundation organized an event to help the children of Virginia Children's Home through donations, visiting and spending time with the children. Founders of Bluverse and TashaSasha Foundation The Home is located in Utawala and from the minute I got there I could feel the warmth radiating from the children as members took part in cooking, braiding, hair cuts and playing with the children. The home houses roughly 20 children  and the mother of the children shared her journey of why and how she came about starting the home and it was truly inspirational and you could tell she cared and truly loves each and every one of the kids who range from a form four student to the youngest girl who is only four years old. the Mum who takes care of the children🤍 As the first Home I have visited, I was truly inspired with the existence of such pure hearts including the organizations that made this happen and their willingness to extend their love to comp...

Tricks I Do That Help With Weightloss.

Hey, no one is telling you to lay off anything  ok😂. Relaaaaxx😂.I always say, the key to maintaining a healthy body weight is mostly internal. So let us look at some not so hard tricks I use that are applicable for your day to day that help at least maintain a healthy body weight.  💪🏿 Maintaining at least a 7,000 steps a day and this is very easy to achieve actually, that's approximately 30 minutes of walking, which can either be broken down to 2-15 minute walks or 3-10 minutes walks. Which is quite doable a day I would say. And good thing our phones can keep track of how many steps we've taken everyday so you don't have to worry about that, just the walking is your part. 💪🏿 Walking After Eating . I've found this quite effective because the body uses that food as fuel for your walk. Put on some music, a good playlist and walk for at least fifteen minutes. Plus it reduces any bloating risks significantly.  💪🏿 Drinking a Litre A Day.  Of water of course😅😂.Ge...
