Styling Your Natural Hair

Your hair is undone, what are you doing with it before your next protective style? Well, although a lot of effort and time and patience and work is needed😅, I'm here to help you out with some of the styles I normally go for that require minimum skill level and if you do a little research on YouTube you can get a video tutorial on how to do all of these:)

Obviously you have to have some hair products and tools for best results. Trust me these are good investments considering most are a one off buy and can last you a while. Needs when you have your hair out :

Hair gel for a slicked hairstyle yknow, for the aesthetic.

Edge control. For those who are into laying their edges, it's cool if you aren't.

Flexi rods. These bring out the best curls trust me and pick the biggest ones as well.

Blow-dryer. Advantageous as it has a hot, cold and warm setting so you can straighten your hair however you choose. Plus there is such a variety of them these days.

Shampoo. A nice hydrating shampoo is awesome for wash day to take off all the product build up on your scalp.

Deep conditioner. To restore moisture in your hair after having a protective style in.

Leave in conditioner. After wash day to just seal everything in.

Hair oil of your choice that effectively helps in length retention.

Paddle brush. Which is really gentle on your curls for easy manipulation of hair.

Edge control brush or just an old toothbrush😂. For laying your edges. Feel free to watch tutorials if you want to learn all the cute creative ways you can do them.

Spray bottle. This helps to keep your hair hydrated so you don't have to completely soak your hair in water for hydration.

Shears. For when you need to trim your hair:)

PS; I have a blog about hair products you can try out if you need some assistance in that.

Now, for the Hair styles.

Bantu knot outs. All time favorite thanks to my sister, no heat required you just need to comb out your hair really well, make bantu knots according to how big of curls you'd like the undo them the day of and this will work even overnight. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Twists. Were always a bangers when we were younger and are definitely a vibe. Plus you can play around with the size you like.

Cornrows. Yes sir, I personally love cornrows and you can decide the size you like plus there's all these cute different styles you can do. I recommend going on Pinterest for inspo there  are endless photos for the different designs.

Flat ironing. Though you should be careful with this and it's advisable to only flat iron your hair every three months to show people your inches yknow, flex on us a lil bit😂.

Low bun. Always eats tbh. Plus it is very easy to do and it looks very professional as well so the first week after undoing hair you can go to work with a low bun.

Ponytail. I hear high ponytails are like a free face lift😅😂. I saw that on orange is the new black so don't quote me on that😂.It's good to have your hair out of your face once in a while though plus you can't go wrong with a ponytail.

Pigtails. Both high and low look very pretty and can work for any length of hair and minimal manipulation to the hair and they can work with gel or not.

We all know how you're always on the verge of tears when a hairstyle doesn't work out in in your favor😭 so on that rainy day, feel free to look back on this blog for tips. Also, add a little touch on these that you like for example leaving some little strands out on the sides or back, Just have fun with it! And chin up, you're doing amazing<3

Good Vibes and Good Music: Lil T33

Shout out to hood 64 for raising a star🌟. A range of human expression is how we should describe Lil T33's style of music as it delves deep feelings of love and intense emotion, y'know music to get you in your feels. When you're going through heartbreak, Tee is there to get you through it😅. When it comes to talent, it definitely runs in this family and I'm honored to have interviews both the cousins(T33 and Blu Lace 16) who have inspired Lil T33 to begin his musical journey and to continue at it even releasing music together. From Victorious to Big Time Rush, Lil T33 was inspires literally by the greats to start creating as a form of expression. Music to him is an outlet to express how he feels which is commendable considering how this generation always tries to mask their feelings.       And we all love an artist who isn't afraid to experiment and try new sounds. I dare you to put a mic infront of him and not create magic. If you want to be introduced to Lil Tee I

A Heart Of Gold: Virginia Children's Home

Bluverse in partnership with TashaSasha Foundation organized an event to help the children of Virginia Children's Home through donations, visiting and spending time with the children. Founders of Bluverse and TashaSasha Foundation The Home is located in Utawala and from the minute I got there I could feel the warmth radiating from the children as members took part in cooking, braiding, hair cuts and playing with the children. The home houses roughly 20 children  and the mother of the children shared her journey of why and how she came about starting the home and it was truly inspirational and you could tell she cared and truly loves each and every one of the kids who range from a form four student to the youngest girl who is only four years old. the Mum who takes care of the children🤍 As the first Home I have visited, I was truly inspired with the existence of such pure hearts including the organizations that made this happen and their willingness to extend their love to complete
