A Heart Of Gold: Virginia Children's Home

Bluverse in partnership with TashaSasha Foundation organized an event to help the children of Virginia Children's Home through donations, visiting and spending time with the children.

Founders of Bluverse and TashaSasha Foundation

The Home is located in Utawala and from the minute I got there I could feel the warmth radiating from the children as members took part in cooking, braiding, hair cuts and playing with the children.

The home houses roughly 20 children and the mother of the children shared her journey of why and how she came about starting the home and it was truly inspirational and you could tell she cared and truly loves each and every one of the kids who range from a form four student to the youngest girl who is only four years old.

the Mum who takes care of the children🤍

As the first Home I have visited, I was truly inspired with the existence of such pure hearts including the organizations that made this happen and their willingness to extend their love to complete strangers and it was beautiful to see. Restores your faith in humanity.

The day included members of both teams interacting with the children who were very accommodating and happy to have company. This included games like football and skip rope so we could engage with the children.

Then there was an interactive session after everyone had eaten food prepared by our lovely ladies and gents where everyone had to introduce themselves and you could hear from the foundations leaders how they started the journey of visiting various homes and shelters to help the less privileged and you could tell it was a passion of theirs and with the support of their friends, they made the visits positive and were able to assist in any way they could which you could tell was very much appreciated by the mum.

Visiting children living in homes I would say is very eye opening and makes you appreciative of the little things. It also is a chance to see how others are living and assist in the little way you can and it's very exciting for the kids as well.

If you want to send the mum money to assist her take care of the children, you can send it to the official number of the home, even call to go visit or offer any help that you can it will be appreciated<3 -0701759219-
