Taking Accountability

And with that, 2024 almost comes to a close. A time like this last year, I wrote a list😅, now now, no need to judge, we read and we don't judge😂. My resolutions for this year, honestly, looking back at them I kind of forgot some of them were on there, and that is the first sign of what's to come😂.

You can check out my list in this blog linked here so you won't feel lost in case you hadn't read it->https://iveartgold.blogspot.com/2023/12/my-realistic-2024-resolutions.html.So let's skim over them and see how we did shall we?😅.

Daily Sudokus definitely did not happen lmao😂. Buuut, I did do a lot more sudokus this year than previous years so hey, a win's a win😂.

Uploading weekly on this blog is something I am quite honestly disappointed in myself for not being able to do and I am carrying this to next year for sure and I will lock in this time for real!

Mmmh, savings have depleted a little I would say😭 what was this year even??😂

Waking up earlier I have tried, at least for the most part. I was able to except some of those days when you just can't be bothered to.

I have improved on my eating habits, though I feel like I can definitely do better by being more cautious about what I ingest specifically their nutritional value etc.

The fact that I can't even think of a new artist is proof that I had completely forgotten this was even on the list😂. But this was a good idea I gotta give it to me😅😂.

When it comes to taking care of my hair, I don't know if I could consider this achieved or not. I would definitely say this is the year I have grown to appreciate my hair the most and have worn it in its natural state the most since those primary days.

😭This reading a book once a month is what I am most ashamed of. I mean, I know the feeling a book invokes in me and yet I neglect this part of me soo much. I am definitely locking in next year for suuuure maybe even sooner.

Will I publicly make another years do's list? I think so yeah😅. You know , to know how to improve and see if I can do a better job this coming year which I'm very hopeful for .I will definitely come back and look at the list more often so I can stay on track!

Wishing you the besssst 2025 has to offer, I mean it is the quarter of the century so, only good things we are all hoping👀.👋🏿

The Perfect Hair Washday

Washing your hair can be a daunting task. That's why when you do it, you should make it count. Set aside a day when you do not have anything else to do and make a playlist of your favorite songs. You can also make it a full TLC day. Do a body scrub after to get that hair product off your body y'know. Ok, step 1  make sure you have all your hair products ready, these include shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and oil . Step 2 ,you can soften your hair with a conditioner(not deep conditioner) before you start to  wash your hair, this helps with hair softening before you start the shampooing process which can prove to be drying to your hair. While applying the conditioner, put your hair in twists while either finger detangling or combing it through with a paddle brush or a wide tooth comb. This will prevent tangles during the shampooing process which is  Step 3 . Before you apply shampoo to your hair make sure you completely drench your hair with wa...

A Heart Of Gold: Virginia Children's Home

Bluverse in partnership with TashaSasha Foundation organized an event to help the children of Virginia Children's Home through donations, visiting and spending time with the children. Founders of Bluverse and TashaSasha Foundation The Home is located in Utawala and from the minute I got there I could feel the warmth radiating from the children as members took part in cooking, braiding, hair cuts and playing with the children. The home houses roughly 20 children  and the mother of the children shared her journey of why and how she came about starting the home and it was truly inspirational and you could tell she cared and truly loves each and every one of the kids who range from a form four student to the youngest girl who is only four years old. the Mum who takes care of the children🤍 As the first Home I have visited, I was truly inspired with the existence of such pure hearts including the organizations that made this happen and their willingness to extend their love to comp...

True Crime Documentaries You Have To Watch

ID loversss gather here! First of if you know what that is you are definitely in the right place😂😂.  I would say I am an enthusiast of true crime, y'know a normal amount( if you know me personally don't comment😅) Mostly because of curiosity I would say, wanting to know why people do what they do, and so far I've come across very interesting documentaries that all my true crime counterparts should check out.  They have all the good components of a good documentary which I would list as good narration, interviews with family or people who knew the victims and if we are lucky, people who knew the perpetrator which it's always interesting to hear from their point of view. OK, enough yapping, onto the list! The Staircase ( Netflix ). Starting off strong with what I would consider to be my top 5 documentaries of all time. Murder or a tragic accident? I was quite surprised there was a discussion between the two after watching it. But I'll let you be the judge of that. ...
